PET'S WRITING

Go to the PET'S GOOGLE SITE for further information.

In the writing section of the Preliminary English test there are three parts.

PART 2

In this part you have to write 100 words. You normally have to write an e-mail or a letter. It's always informal. You can use contractions: don't, isn't,... and other informal language.

EXAMPLE A
You and some friends are planning to go away for the weekend. Write an e-mail to an English-speaking friend called Darren. In your e-mail, you should:

• tell him where you are going and when.
• invite him to come with you.
• say when you are leaving and where you will meet.

Hi Darren,/Hi there,

What's up?/How's it going? All well I hope. I'm writing to tell you that....
Why don't you come..../ My friends and I think you could...
We are leaving on Friday 4th of April at 9 o'clock.... and we will meet

Write soon./See you soon!

Take care,/Love,/Kisses

Maggie
